Four arrested with $3,000 cash and 5 lbs of marijuana

AUBURN, AL - Auburn police executed a search warrant at a residence in the 1600 block of Downs Way on Monday, October 3. During the search, officers seized five pounds of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, assorted illegal prescription medications, approximately $3,000 in cash, and a pistol.

Four people were taken into custody and arrested on various charges. They are identified as: Justin E. Leitstein, age 21, of Boca Raton, Florida; Christopher C. Carter, age 20, of Decatur, Alabama; Dorian J. McFarland, age 20, of Kokomo, Indiana; and Justin N. Perez, age 20, of Mesa, Arizona.

Leitstein is charged with trafficking marijuana, possession of marijuana 1st degree, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Carter is charged with trafficking marijuana. Mcfarland and Perez are each charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. The four were transported to the Lee County Detention Center. The bond on Leitstein was set at $35,000; Carter at $30,000; and McFarland and Perez at $1,000 each.
