Representative Hubbard secures $20,000 for Auburn Public Safety

AUBURN, AL - Alabama State Representative and Speaker of the House Mike Hubbard has a secured $10,000 grant for the Auburn Police Division, which will be used to purchase four multi-purpose night vision monoculars. This high performance equipment will enable the patrol section of the Auburn Police Division to help investigate on-going criminal activity, track down fleeing suspects and assist in search and rescue. "Representative Hubbard has always been a strong supporter of law enforcement and our agency,” said Auburn Police Chief Tommy Dawson. “This is new equipment we would probably not be able to purchase if it were not for Representative Hubbard’s hard work for which we are very thankful."

Lee County Humane Society holding annual Woofstock celebration

LEE COUNTY, AL - The Lee County Humane Society is holding its annual Woofstock celebration. The day will consist of live entertainment, a children's fun area and lots of activities for you and your pet. Woofstock will be held at Kiesel Park on Saturday, August 27 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. Admission is free, but some activities have a fee. All proceeds and donatinos benefit adoption programs for the animals at the shelfter.

Auburn pools changing their hours

AUBURN, AL - With school starting up again, the Auburn area pools are changing their hours. Drake Pool is now closed for the season. Samford Pool will remain open until Monday, Sept. 5 during the following times:
