AUBURN, AL - Most people don't think of the south as a great place for hockey, but Auburn University is ready to change that.
The home opener for the Auburn hockey team is this Sunday, Sept. 16 at 2 p.m. against the Georgia Tech team.
The game is taking place at Columbus' Ice Rink.
This is the home opener for Auburn. Auburn University's mascot Aubie will be on hand for the game and after the game, the Auburn hockey team will be skating during public skating, so come out and meet the team.
Free admission to public skating with Sunday's game ticket. $3 for skate rental.
If "Auburn University Hockey" gets 3000 "likes" on Facebook they will thank fans with $1 general admission tickets for the home opener.
