Gas station thief makes off with thousands of dollars in cigarettes | Crime

OPELIKA, AL - Someone broke in to a Raceway gas station and stole thousands of dollars in cigarettes Tuesday night.

Opelika Police says that officers were on a routine patrol around midnight when they found the front glass door of the Raceway at 1901 Marvyn Parkway broken out.

They contacted the owner, who quickly met the officers at his business.

The owner reported that about $2,000 worth of cigarettes were missing from the store.

There are no suspects and the case remains under investigation.
